I’m Seeing a Network Loop, What Should I Do?
This usually happens when both LAN ports on RoomHub are connected to the same network.
RoomHub has two independent ports:
LAN 1 - control and management
LAN 2 - AV Network (AV and Dante traffic)
They are fully isolated inside the device.
There is no bridging or forwarding.
But when both ports are plugged into the same broadcast domain, some switches may treat this as a loop and raise warnings.
Quick Fix
Use separate networks.
Connect LAN 1 to the control or corporate network
Connect LAN 2 to the AV or Dante network
That’s the intended setup and immediately resolves the issue.
Temporary Option
If you don’t need AV/Dante traffic yet:
Disconnect LAN 2
Run RoomHub on LAN 1 only, while setting up the AV Network
Summary
If you see loop warnings:
Check where LAN 1 and LAN 2 are connected
Don’t place them on the same network
Separate control and AV traffic, and RoomHub works as expected.
