Can't Discover RoomVision Camera

If your RoomVision camera isn’t showing up in RoomHub or Pleneo Cloud, check these steps in order.


1. Check the Connection

  • Make sure the LAN cable is firmly connected to the camera

  • The LAN port is used for power and control


2. Confirm Power

  • Verify the camera is connected to a switch that supports PoE

  • Without PoE+, the camera will not power on or be discoverable

  • Try connecting RoomHub to a different PoE-enabled switch or port

Tip: In some cases, the PoE power budget on the original switch may be fully used, preventing additional devices from receiving power.


3. Try a Different Path

  • Re-connect the network cable

  • Try a new Ethernet cable

  • Test a different switch port or connect to another PoE+ switch


Result

Once the camera has PoE power and a stable network connection, it should appear automatically in Room OS or Pleneo Cloud.
