No Sound from Sonia Speakers
If you’re not hearing any sound from your Sonia speakers, follow these steps in order.
1. Check the Speaker Connections
Make sure each Sonia speaker is properly connected to the Sonia Amp
Verify that all speaker cables are firmly seated and connected to the correct ports
2. Check Sonia Amp Network Connection
Confirm the Sonia Amp is connected to a network switch using the LAN (PoE+) port
Ensure the Ethernet cable is fully seated on both the amp and the switch
3. Verify Power (PoE+ or PoE++)
Sonia Amp requires PoE+ (802.3at) or PoE++ (802.3bt) to operate.
Confirm the connected switch port supports PoE+ or PoE++
Standard PoE does not provide enough power
For higher volume, PoE++ is recommended.
If available, try a different port on the switch.
4. Confirm Room Assignment
If power and cabling are correct, make sure the Sonia system is assigned properly:
Open RoomHub’s WebGUI or Pleneo Cloud
Verify the Sonia Amp is added to the correct Pleneo Room
Result
Once the Sonia Amp is powered, connected, and assigned to the room, audio should play automatically.
