No Sound from RoomDesign Ceiling

If you’re not hearing any sound from a RoomDesign Ceiling speaker, follow these steps in order.


Check the Connection

  • Make sure the speaker is connected to a network switch

  • Confirm the cable is firmly seated at both ends


Verify Power (PoE+)

RoomDesign Ceiling requires PoE+ (802.3at) to operate.

  • Confirm the connected switch port supports PoE+

  • Standard PoE does not provide enough power

If needed, try a different PoE+ port on the switch.


Confirm Room Assignment

If power and connectivity look correct, make sure the speaker is assigned to the room:

  • Open RoomHub’s WebGUI or Pleneo Cloud

  • Verify that the speaker is added to the correct Pleneo Room


Result

Once the speaker is powered, connected, and assigned to the room, audio should play automatically.
