Microphones without AudioIQ

Edited

Overview

AudioIQ™ is Pleneo’s automatic room measurement and tuning system.

It listens to the room and adjusts the system automatically for clear, natural sound.

Not all microphones are integrated to Room OS in the same way.
Some are deeply integrated and can be used with AudioIQ.
Others have a normal integration and don't support AudioIQ.

Different Levels of Integration

RoomOS supports a wide range of microphones.

They fall into two simple categories:

Deeply integrated (AudioIQ™ supported)

  • Used for both audio and room measurement

  • Calibrated and tested by Pleneo

  • Enable automatic tuning as part of AI AutoDeploy.

Normal integration (RoomOS supported)

  • Used for audio capture and processing

  • Not used for room measurement

  • Do not enable AudioIQ™

Both work. The difference is how deeply they are integrated into the system.

Supported in RoomOS (Not AudioIQ™)

The following microphones are supported for audio, but not used for AudioIQ™:

Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2

Yamaha Adecia RM-CG Ceiling Microphone

Audio-Technica ATND1061 Beamforming Ceiling Array Microphone

They integrate well and perform reliably, just without AudioIQ.

What You Still Get

Even with standard integration, everything works as expected.

  • Clear audio capture

  • Full AI processing (AEC, AI NoiseSense™, ML RoomEnhancement etc.)

  • Full control integration

  • Stable, reliable performance

The only difference is that AudioIQ, automatic room measurement and tuning, is not applied.

In Summary

Microphones integrate into RoomOS at different levels.

  • All provide excellent audio performance and control integration

  • Some enable full automatic tuning with AudioIQ™ in addition.

  • All supported microphones work reliably

Choose the level of integration that fits your needs.
