What is a Pleneo Room?
Overview
A Pleneo Room is any meeting space running Room OS.
It’s a complete, intelligent AV system built around a Pleneo DeviceHub. Once installed, the system configures, tests, and tunes itself automatically.
The result is a room that sounds and behaves consistently, without complex setup.
What Makes a Pleneo Room
A Pleneo Room consists of four main elements.
1. DeviceHub
Examples include:
RoomHub
RoomAmp Pro X
This is the brain of the room. It's the gateway to get Room OS into your room.
It handles control, audio processing, monitoring and management. Also takes care of automatic setup.
2. Speakers
Pleneo speakers such as:
Pleneo Sonia
RoomDesign
Using Pleneo speakers enables full AudioIQ™ automatic tuning.
If you use non-Pleneo speakers, the room will still function, but automatic acoustic tuning will not be available.
3. Microphone
Pleneo Rooms are designed for ceiling microphones.
Currently:
One ceiling microphone is supported per room
Multi-microphone support is planned for larger room bundles
For a full list of supported models, refer to the Works With list.
4. Camera
To complete the room, you can use:
RoomVision cameras
Supported third-party PTZ cameras
The full compatibility list is available under Works With.
What Room OS Does
Room OS is a combination of the embedded software on our devices and Pleneo Cloud. With the DeviceHubs it automatically:
Detects connected devices
Tests and validates the system
Configures routing
Tunes the room acoustically
This is work that would normally take a specialist hours to complete.
With Pleneo Cloud, you also gain centralized monitoring and management, making it easy to manage one room or hundreds.
In Summary
A Pleneo Room is more than hardware.
It’s a system where quality is consistent and defined by the platform, not by who deploys it.
You simply connect the products.
RoomOS takes care of the rest.
